Grumbling Gryphons is a Traveling Children's Theater (winner of the 2003 Connecticut Governor's Arts Award) and is the creation of founder and Artistic Director Leslie Elias - playwright, actress, storyteller, and theater director. Grumbling Gryphons provides performances, summer camps, workshops, and residences for children and adults using subjects such as poetry and myth, building self-esteem, or dramatizing historical themes.
Grumbling Gryphons is available for performances, workshops or a combination of both. The number of performers/facilitators varies depending on need and show selection. Shows and workshops are appropriate for family audiences and children in grades K-8. Special performances and workshops are given for pre-school ages.
