History
Until the Groesbeck Branch Library was dedicated in March, 1963, library service to the community was limited to regular visits by the bookmobile. In March 1999, the branch was demolished and construction began on a new 15,000 square-foot facility. The new building was dedicated on May 6, 2000 in memory of former Library Board Trustee, Dr. Peter Garvin. Design features of the reading areas for adults and children include skylights, clerestory windows, and vaulted ceilings.
