Highlighting Brooklyn

Greenpoint Film Festival

191 North 14th Street
Brooklyn, NY 11249

About Us:

The Greenpoint Film Festival is produced by Woven Spaces, Inc, a Brooklyn-based non-profit arts organization designed to create art/community projects. Founded in 2011, the festival is inspired by the regenerative opportunities in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, once labeled one of the most polluted places in the United States. The themes of renewal and reclamation continue to play a major role in the social and creative fabric of the Greenpoint Film Festival as it constantly expands into a platform for new thinking, as well as a showcase for great art and great film.

GFF is also inspired by the expanding film industry in North Brooklyn, particularly in Greenpoint. The arts are historically-proven building blocks in community and economic development and primary tools for communicating trends and ideas. We support philosophical and social movements towards a more sustainable use of our resources, future-minded urban planning, and growing partnerships across the disciplines. The Greenpoint Film Festival hopes to be a cornerstone of visionary commitment towards this end and a resource to artists and to the community.
