Moore Orchards began in 1935, founded by brothers Earl and Marion Moore. Earls wife Mary is the namesake for "Grandma Mary's". Mary was the co-founder of the valley's annual blossom day festival.  With humble beginnings as fundraiser for the local grange hall hosting a smorgasborg, the event has grown to valley wide celebration.
Moore Orchards Inc. has been in the Moore family for over 75 years and 4 generations. Pears and apples have dominated the 300+ acre farm over the years.  In 2002 we planted our first blueberry bushes.   Now up to 25 acres of berries, we are very excited to add some more diversity to our farm.
Moore Orchards packs, ships and stores fruit at our packing plant on highway 35, where "Grandma Mary's" farm stand is also located.   Our fruit ships all over the nation and the world.
Hood Rivers climate is perfect for a number of diffferent fruits and vegetables. Our Farm has various small plantings of peaches, walnuts, hops, vegetables, grapes, flowers and various berries offering a great variety of choices for our farm stand.Â
Â
Most of the fruit and vegetables at our farm stand were grown by us. We take great pride in that. We offer great prices on bulk sales of our berries, pears and apples.  Â
Things have changed alot around here in 75 years, but what hasn't is our commitment to quality fruit.
