Mission Statement:

GAS was established in 2003 as a venue for the pursuit of cultural practices which fosters ideas and collaborations in multi-disciplinary contemporary art with a focus on the intersection between music, politics, pop and international cultures.

Aims And Objectives:

To extend the range of art experience.

To encourage emerging artists to exhibit innovative work in a professional environment.

To develop a gallery program which includes a wide range of disciplines and to facilitate and support varied curatorship, exhibition, and contemporary critique.

To assist in catalogue essays and publication, promotional material and exhibition concepts.

To promote artists and their practices.

To foster an awareness within both the local downtown manhattan community and a wider international community of the cultural pursuits being explored at GAS.

To raise the professional profile of the curators, writers, exhibitors and designers through exposure and sale of their work.
