Located within the walls of Whidden's Marina, The Gasparilla Island Maritime Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the working waterfront in Boca Grande on the southwest coast of Florida. From the moment you enter, the museum offers many marine artifacts such as gill nets, buoys, a room full of tools used by Sam WHidden, a sperm whale skull and two beautiful mahogany fighting chairs used by Ernest Hemingway and Zane Grey and donated by renowned wood boat builder, George Luzier. Historic photographs and albums are available to view.
