Our Passion is to create wine with INTEGRITY. We approach wine making with the intent to have the Terroir and grapes present us with the season’s flavors.
Same Latitude Different Attitude is at the same latitude as Napa valley and also produces a variety of fruits including: Apples, Peaches and wine grapes. That is where the similarities end and our unique growing environment (Terroir) takes over. The vineyard is high altitude growing region, elevation our vineyard is 5,500 feet. The vineyard is also planted in a rocky, sandy soil and the vines grow in weather with big temperature swings. It is this terroir that provides the different attitude. Higher altitude, rocky, sandy soil and big temperature swings grows a grape that fruiter intense, complex, full flavor wines.
Our grapes are picked by hand and crushed the grapes with very little sulfites and no additives Fermentation is conducted by selecting desired yeast that will enhance the season’s fruity, intense, full, complex flavors.
Why do we say Same Latitude Different Attitude? Olathe, a Western Slope community, known for its agriculture, is at the same latitude as Napa valley and also produces a variety of fruits including: Apples, Peaches and wine grapes. After those similarities, however, we have a different attitude. Our uniqueness is in the growing environment (Terroir) of our 35-acre vineyard. The vineyard is in a high altitude growing region, with elevation levels around 5,000 feet, the vineyard is also planted in a rocky, sandy soil and the vines grow in weather with big temperature swings. It is this terroir that provides the different attitude. The higher altitude provides a brighter wine, the rocky, sandy soil, allows vine roots to grow and bring different flavors into the wines and the big temperature swings gives wines complex, full flavors
