About Us :

The Library is an integral part of the cultural life of Oak Park, Illinois. It is the cornerstone of an informed democracy. It is the wit and wisdom of the centuries. It is entertainment and education. The Oak Park Public Library is all of these things, and it is open to all - free of charge!

Since 1948, the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library have worked to support the Library and to build bridges between the Library and the community.

We ask you to join us and be a Friend. Become a part of our effort and enjoy satisfaction of making a valued contribution and the rewards of being a Friend of the Library.
