Friends of the Hayward Library

Mission Statement

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate continuing community interest in the Hayward California Public Library and to be supportive of the Library staff and activities.  The scope of the organization is to encourage gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, bequests, and membership in the Friends of the Library, and to participate in  fund-raising activities.

Who Are We

The Friends is a nonprofit organization that has been supporting the Hayward Public Library since 1982. We believe that the library is an important and integral part of community.
