Approximately the size of two football fields, the Franklin Dog Park contains three fenced-in areas for dog owners to let their dogs off leash at the Twin Lakes Park Expansion Area. The facility is named in memory of Dr. John W.B. Franklin.Â
The dog park has three separate fenced-in areas. Of the three areas, typically two will be open at a time and the third will be closed for maintenance and recovery. One area is designated for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. The park has a six foot chain link fence surrounding all sections, and there is a double gated entrance system. There are also water fountains for both dogs and people, and dog waste clean-up stations are available.Â
