FNH Rural Health Clinics - Beech Fork Rural Health Clinic

805 Middlefork Road
Asher, KY 40803

Beech Fork RHC, originally known as the Beech Fork Nursing Center, opened its doors in 1926. The clinic was not only the first outpost-nursing center built but was also the first ready-built house in the Middle Fork area. Two nurses, Gladys Peacock and Mary B. Willeford, opened and literally built the clinic with much community assistance and involvement.

The years passed and the need to accommodate more patients grew. Construction on the new Beech Fork clinic began in April of 1981. The present clinic is located a few hundred feet in the shadow of where it all began.

In the spring of 2003, the restoration of the original Beech Fork Nursing Center was set in motion. Today the “Old Nursing Center” may be viewed by a newer generation, and remembered by an older, as a beacon of hope, a place of care, and refuge built by love.

Beech Fork Clinic continues to primary full scope primary care services to the entire family.
