Fleming's Christmas Tree Farms, LLC

1803 Fleming Road
Indiana, PA 15701

In 1945, as a way to supplement his income, Roy Fleming planted the first seedling at what would become present day Fleming's Christmas Tree Farms. Roy and his wife, Mary Jane, owned a service station. During the day, Mary Jane would run the station while Roy would work on the trees. In the evenings Roy would take over the duties of the station. This agricultural adventure became Roy's passion and soon turned into a full-time job known as Fleming's Christmas Tree Farms.

Current owner, J.D. (son of Roy and Mary Jane) became a partner in 1980. Other son, Randy, joined as the foreman of the labor crew and together they continued to build the family business.  B&B trees were added to the operation. When Roy began the business, trees were baled by hand or pulled through a tapered cone and hand-tied. Sometimes trees were sent to market unbaled. In the 1950s, motorized tree balers were introduced. About the same time, tractor-driven tree planters were introduced to the industry speeding up planting time.

In 2001, after many years of hard work, Roy decided it was time to slow down and enjoy more time with his wife and family. Randy Fleming purchased Roy and Mary Jane's half and together with his brother J.D., have continued to run the family business. Their new partnership, Fleming's Christmas Tree Farms, L.L.C., operates from the same home base established many years ago by a true pioneer of today's Christmas tree industry, Mr. Roy Fleming.

Roy Fleming passed away on December 15, 2011. He will be greatly missed by us all. Today J.D. and his wife, Cindy, continue to operate the family business.
