Bicycle and roller-blade enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby Shining Sea Bikeway, which winds along the sea from Waquoit to Woods Hole, providing some of the most spectacular views in Cape Cod. Rich in history, the bikeway follows prehistoric Wampanoag Indian trails. Falmouth native Katharine Lee Bates, author of the song “America the Beautiful”, was inspired by scenes along this bike path.
