The Fairfield County District Library shall be a center for lifelong choices of reading, entertainment, and informational materials with an emphasis on excellence in knowledge technologies; free and accessible resources; and customer service.

Fairfield County Library Foundation

The Fairfield County Library Foundation was established in 1983 to assist the Fairfield County District Library in its pursuit of excellence. The Foundation exists to provide an opportunity for Library supporters to make charitable gifts to the Fairfield County District Library. These funds are used to help underwrite the cost of major projects for the Library. Such projects include automation, special programming, building and renovation and cultural events.

The Johns Memorial Branch Library, the Baltimore Branch Library and the Bremen Rushcreek Memorial Branch Library are representative of the Foundation's activities.

The Foundation has a 501(c)(3) designation as a charitable organization from the Internal Revenue Service, so contributions are fully deductible. A contribution to the Library Foundation is a lasting gift to the community, which will benefit many individuals in the future. For more information, please call (740) 653-2745, extension 100
