GENERAL RULES

Students are to:

Listen
Be on time
Be prepared and particpate
Always have their PLANNER with them
Use appropriate language for school
Leave personal property such as radios, tape players, beepers, laser pens, games, toys, CD's, glass containers, cellular phones, aerosal containers, etc. at home
Respect feelings, ideas and property of others
Take responsibility for their actions
Dress for school. Attire should be clean, modest and appropriate for a learning environment.
ATTENDANCE

Punctual and regular attendance is essential for academic success. Parents are expected to phone the office by 9:00 a.m. on the day that their child is absent. If a parent is unable to call, then upon the student's return to school, a written note signed bythe parent must be provided to the school.

I. TARDINESS: A student will be considered tardy when he/she is not inside the classroom door at the time class is scheduled to begin. The passing period is not intended as play timeor break time. The passing period between classes is provided as a timeto attend to personal needs and prepare for the next class.

Excessive tardiness in a particular class during a grading period will result in the following disciplinary action:

3rd tardy = written warning
4th tardy = a day Academic Alternative
Subsequent tardies = additional referrals with an Academic Alternative or out of school suspension.
II. ABSENCES: All students will be expected to make up all work missed due to any absence for any reason. The only exception will be for expulsions.
