About Us:

ETMC Quitman was built to provide the people of Wood County with advanced care in a healing environment. Its doors opened in 2013, replacing the previous ETMC Quitman facility. As a certified critical access hospital, it features 25 private inpatient rooms, 24/7 emergency care and a range of medical services.

Part of the ETMC Regional Healthcare System, this new facility benefits from the shared resources of the most comprehensive health system in East Texas. This includes weekly health clinics from visiting specialists, high-caliber radiology services and access to Level I trauma center care.

A high nurse-to-patient ratio and in-house physicians ensure patients get the attention and treatments they need. This has led to favorable patient satisfaction scores. ETMC Quitman also has been recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals for staff-to-patient explanation of medicine usage.
