Not Just Your Garden-Variety Farmers' Market
Did you know that the Buckingham Township Civic Association started the Doylestown Farmers' Market in 1975 and that it was originally located in Buckingham? We have been proud to sponsor it ever since and we are thrilled at what it has become.
The Doylestown Farmers' Market may change your mind about farmers' markets. If you are expecting heaps of seasonal, chemical-free and conventionally grown produce and herbs, yes, you'll find those items there in abundance.
But, you will also find some rather unusual things such as warm alpaca socks, duck eggs, Tunisian organic olive oil, mushrooms of every size and shape and the recipes to cook them and even preservative free doggie biscuits and all natural soap products and sugar scrubs.
What else? How about an assortment of pickles and relishes and other ready-made foods such as sauces, vinegars, soup, pâtés, pie fillings and marinated veggies? Want grass-fed Angus beef, non-GMO pork and organic poultry? You'll find it there.
Do you yearn for fresh baked goods? Chose from artisan breads, pastries, cakes, pies, muffins, donuts, quick breads, cookies, biscotti, Danish, gluten free items and scones. Need something to spread on the breads? The market has vendors who sell jams and jellies, marmalades, local raw honey and maple syrup.
