Downtown YMCA

The Downtown YMCA is located at 235 N Jefferson St and is the original Green Bay YMCA, built in 1925. This 112,000 square foot facility features three pools, including a 6 lane competition pool (where YMCA swim team meets are held), warm water therapy pool and whirlpool. The Downtown Y’s Lifestyle Center includes a full line of cardio and strength equipment, a cardio theater entertainment system and a separate free weight area. You will also find three regulation-sized racquetball courts, an aerobics studio, a NEW Yoga Studio, a gymnasium and an indoor track (24 laps/mile). Downtown has ample locker room space, saunas in our men’s and women’s locker rooms and a steam room in the men’s locker room. The facility also features a complete gymnastics area with a full-size spring floor, where programs for all ages are held and the gymnastics team (Green Bay Gymstars) practices are held. At the Downtown Y, you will find several lounge areas, our Kids Korner (drop-in child care center) and multi-purpose rooms that can be used for meetings and rentals.
