Located in Codman Square, the Dorchester YMCA was founded in 1919 and today is one of the community’s leading social service providers. This branch is home to a dedicated computer lab staffed by Boston Public Schools, which offers at-risk youth the opportunity to make up high school credits.

  • Youth Development - 600 youth are taking a greater interest in learning; making smarter life choices. Our Y offers licensed before and after school programs, and summer day camp programs and a wide variety of youth development programs for teens.
  • Healthy Living – 5,600 adults and youth receive the support, guidance and resources needed to achieve better health and well-being by being a member of our Y.
  • Social Responsibility We ensure that our programs are accessible to all by providing $150,000 in financial assistance each year to our programs and services.
