Open: Year Round

Domanico Cellars is a small family owned and operated winery. We began our adventure in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle (originally in our little bungalow!). A couple of years later, and with a little growth, we moved operations to a warehouse in Ballard, where we continue to operate a winery and tasting room. With a strong desire to take our passion for wine making and Washington State's agriculture further, in 2012 we purchased our first, yet established, vineyard in Prosser, WA.  We both have strong Eastern Washington roots, growing up in Spokane and living in Yakima for a number of years, so we decided to pick-up and "move to the farm". We love being back and in the heart of the grape growing region of Washington. We are also excited to open our second winery and tasting room on the vineyard (hopefully in 2013)! We are extremely dedicated to making great wines from the best Washington vineyards. Some years we may blend, others we may not, but our promise is to always produce the best wines possible based on what the vineyards, grapes and maturing vintages tell us. Oh, and if you talk to our many wonderful volunteers you will know we require that a smile & laugh or two be involved in all phases of the process!

Over the past several years we have sourced fruit from some of the top vineyards in Washington, specifically the Horse Heaven Hills AVA and Yakima Valley AVA. Our first release was in 2008 of our 2006 vintage. In 2012 we purchased Carter Family Farms Vineyard, a well-established vineyard, previously owned and operated by George and Dennis Carter.
