About Us:
Our trainer is knowledgeable and experienced, has ridden for and worked with multiple Grand Prix trainers, and has show experience through PSG. At Diablo Hills Training the horses always come first. Our focus is HAPPY, CORRECT horses that are straight, and work correctly over their topline. They are never forced into a false frame (we never use draw reins, harsh bits, etc). The outcome is a much happier, stronger, sounder horse that will last longer. We enjoy working with all types of horses regardless of their breed or training level. While we truly enjoy working with all types of horses we especially love to work with: sensitive horses, hot horses, horses that are not good in the contact (too heavy, resistant, upside-down, too light, or unsteady) and horses that have learned to go in a "false frame" and need to work on truly coming over their back. We believe many of these horses become "problem horses" and are often misunderstood because, when they are worked incorrectly, they sometimes misbehave because they are confused and frustrated and over time become sore.  We can often offer a different approach to horses that are considered problem horses or horses that other trainers may have given up on. We also enjoy working with young or green horses in order to teach them a correct solid foundation from the start. So, whether you want to move up the levels and show, have a problem horse, or a horse with some holes in their training, everyone is welcome
