Dallas Public Library - Skillman Southwestern Branch

Located in north central Dallas close to Central Expressway and Northwest Highway, Skillman Southwestern is at the corner of Skillman Street and Southwestern Boulevard. The branch was opened in 1996 and serves a diverse and densely populated area, including one of the largest apartment communities in Dallas. The building features a second-story clerestory and a dramatic glass wall at the rear which maximizes the feeling of spaciousness and openness.
Skillman Southwestern is the site of the fifth and newest of the Dallas Public Library's Teen Centers, made possible through the AT&T Excelerator grant program and the AT&T Foundation. The TeenCenter offers access to 5 laptops, teen programs, career materials, DVDs, music CDs, fun fiction and homework support.
