Through the printed word and new technologies, libraries in Cumberland County are united to help residents of all ages explore, learn about, and enjoy the world.

Established in 1963, the Cumberland County Library houses the CLUES central site equipment and coordinates many of the system's activities. It was the first library in Cumberland County to offer public access Internet workstations, and it provides an in-depth reference collection to supplement the collections of other libraries in the county. The library maintains the only New Jersey government documents depository in the county, houses an Adult Basic Education and literary collection, purchases many CD-ROM and online databases, and has the most complete collection of legal materials in the area.
