Our geographical location, Native American history and proximity to the Inland Water Route were the inspiration for our name. The combination of warm days, cool nights and the winds off Little Traverse Bay across Crooked Lake, help develop the right flavors in our grapes and the unique balance found in our wines. The grape varietals in our vineyard are newcomers in the wine world, but are already winning awards.
