The YMCA of Cranston is part of the social fabric of our community. We play a vital role in the positive development of youth and families, through collaborations with the Rotary Club of Cranston that provide Thanksgiving baskets for families in need each year, and adults and seniors through partnerships with the stateof Rhode Island that provide recreational activities for adults with special needs at Eleanor Slater & Zambarano hospitals, we are guided by our mission “to build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, through programs, services and relationships that are based upon our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.”  Located on the corner of Park and Gansett Avenues in Cranston since 1957, our YMCA currently serves over 6,300 members in the communities of Cranston, Johnston and Scituate. Since our founding in 1936, the YMCA of Cranston has existed for only one purpose, to serve the needs of our community. Recent renovations to our locker rooms and our brand new state of the art fitness center, along with our partnership with the city of Cranston in operating the Cranston Community Youth Center has shown that as our community changes, so do our programs.
