Open: Year-Round
Constructed on their family owned farm, Country Heritage Winery & Vineyard gives true meaning to its name. The farm has over 100 years of family heritage. The proprietors, Jeremy & Jennifer Lutter, continued the Country Heritage tradition by opening the winery on April 29, 2011. ‹
Together our winemaker Kevin Geeting and the Lutters developed our Wine Philosophy. Â "Ultimately, we wish to give you the same thing we would want in a wine. It is our belief that great wine starts in the vineyard or field with quality grapes and fruit." Jeremy & Jennifer Lutter.
All of our fruits come from the family owned farm, Blueberry Acres, or from other reputable fruit farms in Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Washington, or California. We will continue to do this in the future to supplement our 24 acres of grapevines planted in spring of 2011. These include Cayuga White, Traminette, Vignoles, LaCrescent, Marechal Foch, Marquette, Norton, and Concord. With meticulous care and attention to detail, we will strive to nurture the best grapes from these varietals for our wines. After all, if the fruit is great the winemaking part is easy.
Country Heritage has created more than two dozen award winning wines since opening their doors, including 2012 Indiana's Traminette of The Year. Open seven days a week the winery is a great place to relax, whether on the spacious wrap around porch or in the gazebo, where you'll be surrounded by eight acres of gorgeous vineyard.Â
