The mission of the Conejo Valley Audubon Society is to actively promote the enjoyment and conservation of natural habitats, native plants and wildlife with a special emphasis on birds.

The Conejo Valley Audubon Society (CVAS), founded in 1968, is an active Chapter of the National Audubon Society. This chapter is located in Ventura County in Southern California and it's 500+ members are from southeastern Ventura County and northwestern Los Angeles County.

CVAS strives to promote preservation, education, conversation and observation through the many activities that we perform on an annual basis. Our members are active in educational programs that emphasize the importance of bird watching and nature education in local schools. Field trips take place nearly every weekend (except for the summer) and are scattered throughout southern california. Experienced birders lead these trips designed to demonstrate the wide variety of migrant and residential birds that our area attracts every year.

Interested in attending one of our meetings? Everyone is welcome! Regular meetings are held on the first Monday evening of each month from September to May at the Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology, 439 Calle San Pablo, Camarillo at 7:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. Take Pleasant Valley Road or Lewis Road to where they cross south of the 101 Freeway. Go west to the second street, Calle San Pablo. Turn right. The Foundation is the fifth building on the left. Come see what we're all about!
