About Us:
The Coffey County Historical Society and Museum exhibits the history of Coffey County and the communities, businesses, and people that accompany it. On our grounds are the museum, the Rural Dale (one room) school house which was built in 1896, and the Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church which was built in July of 1895. Both have been restored and are in very good condition. We also, offer a Genealogy library and accept genealogical requests.
Our Summer Hours are Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. The museum is closed most national holidays and holiday weekends (except Memorial Day and Labor Day). The Winter Hours are Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the winter, the museum is closed on holidays and weekends.
You can become a member of the Coffey County Historical Society & Museum for $5 per person per year, $15 per business per year, or a one-time fee of $100 for a lifetime membership. Please remember we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
