About Us:

"There is an old saying that when there are three generations in a family business they go from shirt sleeves to coat and vest and then back to shirt sleeves. In our case, we never got out of shirt sleeves. We kept right on working - my grandfather, my father, and myself."

-RICHARD CLEMSON, (SEPTEMBER 12, 1947)

At Clemson Bros. Brewery we live and breathe to perfect our passion for craft and our beer exemplifies that passion in every sip. As a dedicated team of craft brewers, we ignite that passion daily by reaching back through time to preserve the culture of our foundation, and we take pride in going to great lengths to artfully blend our love of rich history with our love for craft beer.

Back In 1890, established by way of a mature genealogy in industrial mechanics and metal smithing, as well as exhaustive laboring efforts made at the hands of a highly inventive father and son duo, William Clemson and George Nathan Clemson of Clemson Bros Inc. befittingly took root on Cottage Street and Railroad Avenue in Middletown, New York, following an uprise of economic enterprise during the quaint town's early inception. Making way through a lineage of kindred Master Armorers, three generations of expertly skilled Metal Smiths, and soon becoming identified as the world's pioneer of hack saw blades, Clemson Bros. crafts a historical timeline that captures the rise of a small towns economic advancement, while continuing to stand firmly as a transcendent manifestation of hometown innovation.
