Cincinnati Memorial Hall… a one-of-a-kind treasure

The Hamilton County Memorial Hall was erected in 1908 to honor veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic and Spanish-American Wars . Designed by Samuel Hannaford & Sons, the architects who designed Cincinnati Music Hall, Memorial Hall is considered the finest of Cincinnati’s Beaux Arts buildings.

Memorial Hall’s classic exterior design includes a symmetrical facade, expansive stairs, Corinthian columns, and graceful round-arched window openings. Also featured are statues of pioneers, soldiers and sailors from American history, as well as figures of the Roman God Mars.
