Holiday Traditions Begins Sleigh bells ringing from the horse-drawn carriage, a sip of hot cocoa, the sound of children’s laughter and a nip in the air. Welcome to the annual Christmas in Historic Springboro Festival, the largest 3-day holiday festival in the tri-state area..
Christmas in Historic Springboro features shopping from local craft and retail vendors, music and entertainment from local organizations. Under heated tents, festival goers will find various children’s crafts and activities.
Downtown businesses dress for the holidays with lights, decorations and holiday cheer. Food and craft vendors line the streets with delicious goodies and unique treasures. For 33 years, our annual festival kicks off the holiday season for over 60,000 attendees visitors annually, encompassing over 7 blocks of South Main Street (Central Ave. to Mill St.).
In 1987, a committee of business owners from the Springboro Historic District met with one mission in mind – to create a family oriented, Christmas experience in Springboro that would include shopping, entertainment, food and fun for all. With that first meeting, Christmas in Historic Springboro was born.
Today’s festival traditions are now carried out by an independent committee who enjoy volunteering their time to plan an event that has become a holiday tradition for many families within Springboro and surrounding areas.
