Our collection (at the Main Library) is rich in local history and genealogy resources. We have the Chillicothe Gazette on microfilm back to its beginnings in 1800. Our genealogy room is home to many rare and older volumes of local history, including Chillicothe city directories back to 1858. Other resources include Civil War Rosters of the Union and Confederacy (multi-volume) and censuses for Ohio and Ross County. Microfilm holdings include 1820-1930 census for Ross and surrounding counties as well as probate, birth, death, and marriage records for Ross County.
