Mission Statement

The Chico Friends of the Library, an association of persons interested in books and libraries, has as its goals

-to make and stimulate others to make gifts and bequests to the Chico Branch Library;
-to remind our community of the value of books and libraries;
-to focus public attention on the services and need of the Chico library.

What We Do

The Chico Friends of the Library are individuals from all segments of the community.

Volunteer activities that engage us at the Chico Branch of the Butte County Library include

-shelving books,
-giving internet instruction on computers,
-sorting and classifying donated materials for our weekly book sale,
-conducting the Saturday book sale,
-assisting at various stations in the library,
-and raising money

all to enhance the overall ambience of your library.
