History:
The library was established in February of 1969 in honor of Congressman Chet Holifield, 19th District (served 1943-1974). The library primarily serves the residents of south Montebello.

Services:
Chet Holifield library offers public access to an on-line catalog, full text periodical/newspaper index, coin-operated photocopy machine, a coin-operated typewriter and public access to the Internet.
