About Charles W. Tisdale Library
The Tisdale Library, which is located on East Northside Drive in Northeast Jackson, is named for local newspaper publisher and Civil Rights writer, Charles W. Tisdale. the Library has a wide variety of programs for all ages including the Juneteenth Celebration and Martin Luther King Essay Contest.
The library also hosts the JHLS Summer Reading Program, a
Story Hour for Toddlers on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, Special Holiday Programs, an Arts and Crafts programs on Thursdays at 2:00 PM, and a Book Club for Adults which meets the last Monday of each month.
