The Central Pennsylvania Conservancy is a registered nonprofit, charitable organization with a mission to conserve natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations through land acquisition, conservation easements, education, and outreach. Active for over 30 years, the organization has functioned as the local land trust to an eight county region. The CPC also stewards and operates a regional historic treasure, the Ironmaster’s Mansion at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.  This facility is a youth hostel for hikers along the Appalachian Trail, an overnight venue for group retreats and special events, and an environmental education and history center.
