Mission

The Center for Performing Arts, Inc. is a corporation established in July 2007 to foster the love of dance and the arts and instill the values of confidence, self esteem and discipline for all who attend.

Vision

The long term vision of the Center for Performing Arts, Inc. is to have a comprehensive performing arts center in McHenry County. In the future, the Center for Performing Arts, Inc. will include:

- Performance opportunities with a dance company.

- Workshops and master classes.

- A boys division and a pas de deux class.

- Assistance auditioning for summer dance programs or pre-professional programs.

- Teacher-training programs and choreographer  workshops.

- A collaboration with schools, perhaps as part of the school's gym or art classes to bring students to the school to be introduced to dance as part of a "budding  artists" program. This can be especially important to schools which are cutting back on arts programs.

- Incorporation of after-school programs with area schools.

- A collaboration with athletic programs, especially with male athletes on the benefits of dance and how, for example, professional football players take dance to increase control, agility and strength.
