The Center for Hearing, Speech and Language is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that offers health care services of the highest quality to the people who live in the Metropolitan Denver and Colorado Springs areas.

CHSL was originally formed in 1918 as an informal club that offered lip-reading classes. By 1946, we added speech therapy and changed our name to the Denver Hearing Society. We began offering hearing services in Colorado Springs in the early '70's.

In 1970, we formed a revenue-generating arm called Sound Solutions, marketing primarily to manufacturing businesses across the United States who must meet OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) sound level standards in the workplace. The proceeds from Sound Solutions are put back into our charitable programming to offset the costs so that the needs of low and moderate income people in Denver and Colorado Springs are met.

We are proud members of the Better Business Bureau. The Center for Hearing, Speech and Language is a proud recipient of a BBB Gold Star Certificate for "adherence to BBB's Standards of Trust."
