John Burks is the owner of Cat’s Paw Winery in Rock Hill, SC. After making wine for several years, his friends finally convinced him to open to the public in 2016. Since then, Cat’s Paw Winery has remained committed to producing unique wines of the first quality, and that commitment has earned us the #1 ranking in the state of South Carolina by Choice Wineries. The winery's name is inspired by Joey, John's first orange tabby. When John needed a mascot for the winery, the choice was obvious! Joey went over the Rainbow Bridge in 2018, and while no cat can ever replace Joey, John has opened his heart and home to several rescue cats over the years. Be prepared to meet Percy, Simon, and Morris during your next visit!

At Cat's Paw Winery, we take pride in creating wines that are smooth and delicious, palatable, and easy to drink. Made with all natural well water and real fruit juices, you'll notice the difference immediately between our wines and store bought brands. Mass produced wines can contain over 20 chemicals, preservatives, added sugars. Cat's Paw wines contain only two additives, no additional tannins, and no additional sulfites. You can enjoy any of our varieties without the worry of wine headache in the morning.

Cat's Paw offers several varieties of whites and reds all made in the true small batch craftsman style. The winery has a tasting room that includes areas to visit with your friends and retail areas for purchases. Come and experience the true flavors of Cat's Paw small batch wine.
