Carpenter's Mortuary

136 E Main St
Gentry, AR 72734

It's officIal . . . Haunting Confirmed.

In 1990, local artists began to occupy the building that was once Gentry’s mortuary and funeral chapel. They transformed the space into a project studio devoted to music, film, and many other art forms. Over the years, visitors have reported strange phenomena there. They’ve seen unexplained lights and noises. They’ve had the feeling that someone, or something, was breathing down their necks.

In 2016, investigators from the acclaimed "Heartland Paranormal Research Organization" spent a night in the old building. The things they saw and heard were incredible. Using a variety of techniques, including video, EVP recording, ghost boxes, and dowsing, the team captured evidence inside Carpenter's Mortuary Spook House that strongly suggests the presence of something . . . otherworldly. HPRO has now released that evidence to the public.
