The Cambria County War Memorial, managed by SMG, first opened its doors in October of 1950, since then it has hosted several different events of various types of shows. Currently, the arena is home to the Johnstown Tomahawks.

Besides sporting events, the Cambria County War Memorial has hosted several concerts and other forms of entertainment targeted to all age ranges. A few of the previous performers have included Larry the Cable Guy, Miranda Lambert, Sesame Street Live, Lipizzaner Stallions, Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, Monster Truck shows, multiple Disney on Ice shows, and Michael W. Smith and several boxing events.
