Mission Statement:

A community that provides a library is one with Vision....

History

The Burgettstown Community Library came into being in the early 1940s, a product of the efforts of the Junior Women’s Club.  The original building on Kerr Street was constructed in 1956.

An expansion occurred in 1976, quadrupling the space and providing a meeting room, plus a room for the Fort Vance Historical Society.

The names of Katherine Pyle, Elizabeth Scott, and Roberta Lee are synonymous with the library.

These women, along with numerous others, have provided the legacy of the Burgettstown Community Library.

It is this legacy that causes each generation to take pride in this community asset.....our library.
