Our Mission:
The Bonita Historical Society is dedicated to preserve, for public education and enjoyment, the culture, history, art, crafts and aesthetic facets of the region, specifically El Rancho de la Nacion in South San Diego County.
Our Objectives:
To provide a location that preserves the culture and history of the Sweetwater Valley.
To provide its supporters and the public an historical and contemporary presentation of artifacts, photographs, and other materials relating to the area through permanent and dynamically changing exhibitions.
To provide outreach programs and other educational events for the involvement of people of all ages in our community and elsewhere.
To respond to the needs of children and to stimulate their imagination through educational events and programs.
To provide a place for the community to gather socially and to hold meetings.
To honor the talents of our Fine Artists.
