About Us:

Bonacquisti Wine Company opened our doors in October 2006 introducing Denver's Urban Winery to Colorado. Winemaker Paul Bonacquisti is a second generation Italian American who learned to make wine from his dad, who learned to make wine from his dad. Paul earned his Executive Sommelier certificate from the International Wine Guild where he learned the technical aspects of wine to compliment his decades of winemaking experience. His extensive experience combined with his wine education is what has catapulted the recognition of his wines, earning international and regional accolades and awards.

Education has been a cornerstone of Bonacquisti Wine Company and is from this aspect that our motto Wine For The People emerged. Our goal has been to eliminate some of the snobbery that is often associated with wine, and educating people about wine is the primary way to combat this elitism. BWC creates award winning wines in various styles: easy drinking, every-night-of-the-week blends, and our reserve and limited production varietal wines that are also enjoyable every-night-of-the-week.

Judi is the not so silent partner who enjoys "researching" wine but concedes that Paul is the expert. A higher education professional, she has helped develop a core winery philosophy to support local education. As a Denver company located in the Sunnyside neighborhood at I-70 and Pecos, Bonacquisti Wine Company supports local education and local art.

The winery is a family affair with perennial favorites Vinny No Neck and Bella Risa named for our children.
