YMCA Mission
To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
About Us
The Boerne Hill Country Family YMCA opened in 1999, as a program YMCA, offering afterschool childcare, youth sports, teen programming and day camps. In 2003, a Capital Campaign began to build a full-facility YMCA, which would bring a facility that has “something for everyone” and be a central meeting place that creates a safe environment for people of all ages with the Promotion of Healthy Living. The Capital Campaign raised $447,000 and in late 2005 began construction of the Full-facility YMCA. The Boerne Hill Country Family YMCA opened on January 7, 2006 at 1361 S. Main Street, with 650 Charter Members. As the first full-service health and wellness YMCA to open in the San Antonio area in 30 years, the 22,000 square foot Branch serves Boerne and the surrounding areas in all of their health and wellness needs.
