Blydenburgh County Park is a 627 acre park located at the headwaters of the Nissequogue River. The park is richly forested hills and valleys and the centerpiece of the park is a man-made lake - Stump Pond that was created at the turn of the century. Dogs are allowed, on leash, throughout the park and without leash only within the fenced-in Dog Park.
The Dog Park, which was officially opened on Sept. 9, 2007, is an entirely fenced in 2 acre parcel that includes separate areas for small and large dogs. Each area has an open field and a wooded path to meander through with your dog. Each section is double gated for safe and easy access and includes a water spigot/drinking fountain. There is ample parking adjacent to the park.
