About Us:
Bluestem Center for the Arts forges human connections, bringing hearts and hands together to build a community that is thriving, vibrant, and filled with a robust cultural life. We provide diverse arts and arts education programs for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Bluestem Center for the Arts, home of Trollwood Performing Arts School, is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is “to educate, entertain, inspire and enrich our community through the arts.” In 1998, to support the substantial growth of Trollwood Performing Arts School, community leaders formed FutureBuilders. With the completion of a new facility in south Moorhead, Minnesota, FutureBuilders changed legal names to become Bluestem Center for the Arts in 2010. Today, Bluestem Center for the Arts is entrusted with the stewardship of our shared Moorhead facilities.
Located on 70 acres along the Red River in Moorhead, Minnesota, Bluestem not only provides a home for Trollwood’s programming, but we are also host to community events, conferences and symposiums, music concerts and festivals, At Bluestem Center for the Arts, we are building community one arts experience at a time.
