Stepping onto Blue Vista Farm is like arriving into a different time.
A time without schedules or devices or distractions. Where we are mindfully connected to the land that feeds and nourishes our bodies and spirits. Our farm overlooks Lake Superior on a remote peninsula, blanketed by a tapestry of forests and water. On endless summer days, it is caressed by cooling breezes that travel across the Great Lake to greet us. It is remote and wild and beautiful.
The name Blue Vista derives from the Lake, sky, fields of ripening blueberries, peace and serenity.
Our passion for the health of our land and all its legged and winged residents inspires us to manage the farm sustainably. We use compost, green manures, and natural organic fertilizers to cultivate healthy, rich soil. We monitor for insects and disease pests to improve the efficacy and safety of our all organic sprays and pest control strategies.
