Black Road Christmas Tree Farms

Black Road Christmas Tree Farms is owned and operated by Robert Criswell (his friends call him "Robbie"). Robbie earned a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Botany...but his green thumb came naturally. Neighbors in his area had grown Christmas trees, so in 1966 Robbie, wanting to put his education and natural talents to work, started three of his own tree farms.

In each farm, specific types of trees are carefully matched to the environment in which they will grow best. All the trees are cultured and free of chemicals. More than 40,000 trees are now grown in the fields of Black Road Christmas Tree Farms. The three farms are located in a scenic area west of Los Gatos, California, a pleasant holiday drive from many nearby cities.
