About Us:

Ed and Shirley Smith were born and raised in Silt and New Castle Colorado. They met each other on a blind date, while attending Colorado State University. They have four children, who also live in Colorado. Before gaming began, Ed and Shirley owned and operated a laundromat and grocery store in Black Hawk. When gambling came to town, the building was converted into a casino. On October 1, 1991, the Wild Card Saloon was the first casino opened in Black Hawk, and in July of 2004, they bought the Black Hawk Station casino. The newest addition to Ed and Shirley's family of casinos is the Sasquatch Casino, which opened its doors on July 6, 2011. All three casinos are owned and operated by Ed and Shirley. Ed and Shirley's family of casinos are renowned for their loose slots, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, home cooking, and wild promotions. Stop by today and join the family for some fun!
